Project Overview
Sculptress JOEL is an award-winning sculptor and collaborative artist working across public commissions, private collections, and curated exhibitions. The goal of this project was to create a refined and professional website that reflects the quality of her work, while making it easy for her to manage and publish content independently.
The new website needed to feel elegant, trustworthy, and minimal, allowing the artwork to take centre stage without unnecessary visual distractions.
The Solution
The website was rebuilt using WordPress and Kadence WP, providing a modern, flexible, and future-proof platform. Kadence was chosen for its clean design system and powerful block-based layout tools, allowing for precise control over typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
A key requirement was that JOEL could continue to blog regularly and publish new content with confidence. To support this, we created a series of pre-designed templates for pages and posts, ensuring consistency across the site while keeping content creation simple and intuitive.
These templates allow JOEL to focus on writing and sharing her work, without needing to worry about layout, styling, or formatting.
Design & User Experience
The visual direction was intentionally minimal, using a black and white palette with generous spacing and strong typography. This creates a calm and professional backdrop that places full emphasis on photography and sculptural detail.
The site structure was carefully planned to support both visitors and search engines, with clear navigation across key areas such as commissions, collaborations, and individual sculpture categories.
