When Breathing Space, a listening and support service in Melton Mowbray, came to us, they had a clear need: a website that made it easy for people to understand their services and get in touch. They also wanted something they could easily keep updated without having to rely on a developer for every small change.
The Challenge
Breathing Space had been relying on leaflets and word of mouth to reach their community. While effective in some ways, it meant they were missing the opportunity to connect with people searching for support online. They needed a website that was simple to navigate, reflected their compassionate ethos, and could be managed in-house.
Our Approach
We built their new site using WordPress with the Gutenberg block editor and KadenceWP theme. This setup gave them:
- A clean, straightforward design that works well on any device
- Easy-to-edit pages, so staff can update information without technical know-how
- Clear sections explaining their services, referral process, and contact details
To help them get found in search results, we implemented basic SEO best practices at launch, including page titles, descriptions, and well-structured content.
Ongoing Support
A website isn’t a “build it and forget it” project. Breathing Space now has ongoing support through our WordPress Aftercare & Hosting Package. This means their site stays secure, updated, and backed up, while they have access to our help if anything needs adjusting or fixing.
The Result
The new Breathing Space website now serves as a central hub for their service. Visitors can quickly see what they offer, how to get help, and how to refer themselves. The team can make updates as needed, and the site runs smoothly with ongoing maintenance in place.
